Get Direct Admission in B.Tech and M.Tech course in Bangalore Institute of Technology 2018- 2019
We are providing direct admission in engineering through institute level vacant seats and management quota seats.
As the title suggests, Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) is located on KR Road very close to the city market in central Bangalore. Getting to the college is a cakewalk from any part of the city.
Infrastructure:
Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) is hosted in a small campus which is cluttered with numerous buildings like the ones for BIT itself, VS Dental College, VV Puram College of Science, College of Law and hostels. The only open space left out after this is the one between these buildings and it hardly sums up to anything. But apart from a lack of proper sports facilities and open spaces, classrooms, library and labs are said to be fairly equipped. Campus is Wi-Fi enabled and connectivity is reliable.
The boys’ hostel is on campus while the girls’ hostel is about 2kms from here. Right from a very frustrated one to a highly mediocre one, students hold mixed opinions about the hostels. However, they unanimously agree that the timings are too strict and the food is intolerable.
Fees:
For Karnataka CET students: Rs. 36,090/- per year
For UGET (COMEDK) students: Rs. 1.25L per year
Faculty:
Those from the Mechanical, Civil and Computer Science departments hold nothing but praise and respect for their teachers. Students from other departments claim that the faculty is average with some really good professors and some really dumb ones. The faculty in the Instrumentation Technology department is said to be in urgent need for betterment. Communication is in English, but they have an inclination towards the regional language and are better off explaining in Kannada.
Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) is pretty chilled out about attendance issues and rarely does a serious case related attendance crop up. Above 85% attendance is recommended by the college but students get away with a mere 50% as well after paying nominal fines (Rs. 100/- for each subject).
Crowd:
Since Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) is located in the heart of the city with few other engineering colleges having a comparable location like BIT’s it draws in a lot of sophisticated urban crowd. Almost half the people here are from Bangalore itself while the remaining half comes from different parts of Karnataka and North India. The colourful and enthusiastic crowd is surely easy to mingle with; so expect to make a lot of friends here.
It is supposedly the best college canteen in this area and serves its food to students from 5-8 different colleges. Besides the students from the BIT campus, those from Bangalore Medical College, Government Dental College and KIMS hospital hop in here during lunch hours every day. So though the canteen is spacious enough to accommodate students from Bangalore Institute of Technology, the overwhelming response from other colleges makes it fall short of space. Food is brilliant, a little overpriced but worth every penny! Chana-bhatura and gobi-manchurian are a must have.
Hangouts:
Even though Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) is centrally located, there’s not a single place in close proximity where you can actually hangout and kill time.
Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) witnesses about 70-80% placements with reputed companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Mahindra & Mahindra, L&T, Bosch coming in for campus placements. Google drops in and picks up a couple of lucky chaps from here as well. The average salary is a mediocre Rs. 3.5L per year and the highest goes to around Rs. 9L per annum, a phenomenon observed only a few selected colleges.
